Himachal is one of the most popular hill stations among holidaygoers because of its pleasant climate, scenic surroundings, colonial charm, and accessibility from Delhi. The road to Manali is as breathtaking as the destination itself. Mighty snow-clad peaks and deodar forests surround the little town of Manali.

Itinerary

Drive from Delhi to Shimla (360 km/approx. 8 to 9 hours)

Pick up from Delhi In the morning, begin your drive to Shimla. The capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla is often referred to as “Queen of Hills.” It was the capital of Punjab till Indian independence in 1947. Shimla, situated at 2200 meters above sea-level, was used by the British as the capital during summers. It boasts of many structures with a colonial look and feels. It is frequented by tourists all round the year that come to enjoy its serpentine roads, majestic snow capped peaks and thick forest cover. It remains a favorite of honeymooners as well. Upon reaching Shimla, check-in to your designated hotel and enjoy the remaining evening at leisure. There is an array of interesting spots you can visit which include Kali Bari Temple and Himachal Museum and Library. The Mall road also makes for a great getaway for shopping and eating alike. Later, return to the hotel and get a good night’s sleep.

Shimla Sightseeing

Toda you can choose to go for a day-long sightseeing tour of Shimla. Kufri The iconic tourist spot located around 17 km from Shimla main city, is a travelers paradise. With multiple things to see and do, Kufri is the hub of all tourist activity of this hill station. Easily accessible by road, you can park your vehicles at the parking lot at the bottom of the hillock.

The only way to get to the top of Kufri hill is on horseback or walking. The narrow rugged road is quite unsheathing to walk up and will exhaust you completely. Lined with rocks and uneven terrain, climbing right to the top of the hill is quite steep and not worth climbing on foot.

Hit the Mall Road in the evening where you can enjoy its bustling activity and many roadside shops. The Mall road of Shimla is a place buzzing with eateries and lots of shopping. The heart of the hill station, you can find a number of local shops and local bakeries that have been around for decades.

Jakhoo Hill or Temple is home to an enormous standing statue of Lord Hanuman, its chief deity. Surrounded by countless monkeys, Jakhoo temple is a tranquil place to simply sit down and offer your obeisance to the lord.

To make travel easier, you can also take the Ropeway that starts from one end of the Ridge up to 8000 Ft. Jakhoo hill and back. If you miss it, you will have to travel all the way back on foot. You can visit the Tudor library, Scandal point on the west or Christ Church while at the Ridge. Thereafter, return to the hotel and get a good night’s sleep

Drive from Shimla to Manali (270 km/approx. 9 hours) via Kullu sightseeing

Today after breakfast, you check-out of the hotel to carry on to Manali. Another beautiful hill station in Himachal Pradesh, Manali is known for its endearing landscape and of course the gushing River Beas that runs through it. On the way visit Kullu

Kullu Valley is a broad open valley formed by the Beas River between Manali and Larji. This valley is known for its temples and its hills covered with pine and deodar forest and sprawling apple orchards. The course of the Beas river, originating from Beas Kund presents a succession of magnificent, clad forests of deodar, towering above trees of pine on the lower rocky ridges that brings the most out of this magnificent town. Kullu Valley is sandwiched between the Pir Panjal, Lower Himalayan and Great Himalayan Ranges,

Upon arrival in Manali, check-in to your hotel and rest for a while. In the evening, you can spend time exploring the nearby spots. Later return to your hotel and retire to your room for a good night’s rest.

Trip to Rohtang Pass (on Direct Payment Basis) & Solang Valley

In the morning, gear up for a stint with one of the beautiful spots, Rohtang Pass & Solang Valley.

Rohtang Pass is a high mountain pass on the eastern end of the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas around 51 km from Manali in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys

Solang Valley derives its name from the combination of words Solang and Nallah. It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions.

You can enjoy adventure sports like mountain biking, skiing, snow scooter riding, paragliding, cable ride , Zip lining, Horse riding etc.

Enjoy divine views of the mountains, glaciers, forests, and rivers. After enjoying stunning views at the Rohtang Pass, later return to the hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

 

Note  Rohtang Pass visit is subject to permission by NGT (National Green Tribunal). Alternate sight-seeing will be provided in case of any deviation!

(Rohtang pass is open for 6 to 7 months of the year through May to November.)

Sightseeing in Manali

After breakfast in the morning, leave for a
day-long sightseeing tour of Manali. Dotted with
beautiful Deodar and Pine trees, fruit orchards, Manali offers many adventurous activities like
trekking, skiing, and mountaineering. For those looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush, these activities are a
must do. For those with a spiritual bent of mind, it may be a good idea to visit some famous temples in the area.
These include the Mall road, Hadimba Temple,Club House, Van Vihar Manu Temple and Vashisht TempleIn
Old Manali, you will find old-style Pahari houses with wooden balconies. After exploring the local attractions of
Manali, enjoy your evening at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Drive from Manali to Dharamshala (216 km/approx. 8 to 9 hours)

After
breakfast, check-out from the hotel and begin your drive to
Dharamshala. Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by cedar forests on
the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The
Thekchen Chöling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan Works and
Archives houses thousands of precious
manuscripts. Arrive Dharamshala and enjoy your evening at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Dharamshala Sightseeing - Dalhousie (118 km/approx. 4 to 5 hours)

Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel, Visit Mcleodganj
day sightseeing, KANGRA ART MUSEUM, and KOTWALI BAZAR: This treasure trove of the Kangra Valley displays arts,
crafts, and rich past artifacts that date back to the 5th century. It includes a gallery of Kangra’s famous
miniature paintings and a representative collection of sculptures, pottery, and anthropological items. Shamianas
and dresses used by local royalty, old carved doors, jails, lintels, and pandals are also on display Coins,
jewelry, and manuscripts are included. A section houses the work of contemporary artists, sculptures, and
photographers.

WAR MEMORIAL: At the start of town, landscaped lawns and a web of narrow paths fill
a pine grove where a monument has been raised to commemorate the post-independence war heroes of Himachal
Pradesh.

KUNAL PATHRI: A 3 km level walk from the Kotwali Bazaar leads up to this rock
temple. ST. JOHN’S CHURCH: 8 km from Dharamsala, between Forsythganj and Mcleodganj is the charming church of
St. John in the Wilderness. Under the shade of deodar branches, a memorial has been erected over the body of the
British Viceroy, Lord Elgin who died at

Dharamsala in 1863. There is a well-tended old graveyard on these grassy
slopes.

DAL LAKE: 11 km from Dharamsala and surrounded by deodar trees, this is an
enchanting and serene picnic spot.

BHAGSUNATH: Close to fresh springs, this ancient temple is 11 km from Dharamsala. It
is a popular picnic spot and the famous slate quarries are close by. Mcleodganj, Kunal Pathri, St. John’s
Church, Dal Lake, Bhagsunath, Kangra Art Museum, Kotwali Bazar, War Memorial.

Later proceed to Dalhousie and overnight in a hotel at Dalhousie.

Dalhousie sightseeing with Khajjiar

After breakfast in the morning,
leave for a day-long sightseeing tour of Khajjiar. Khajjiar is a hill station in
Himachal Pradesh. Dating from the 12th century, Khajji Nag Temple is dedicated to a serpent god. Nearby, the
high-altitude Khajjiar Lake is surrounded by cedar forest. Dalhousie is a hill station with mountain views, dotted
with temples and 19th-century British churches after Khajjiar sightseeing visit The Mall Dalhousie, Subhash
Chowk Dalhousie, Satdhara, Panjpulla Dalhousie,
Tibetan
 Market Dalhousie and
later return to your hotel and retire to your room for a good night’s rest.

Dalhousie to Delhi (587.8 km/approx. 12 to 13 hours)

After breakfast, check out from the Hotel, proceed to delhi, later drop to your onward destination
Delhi.

  • Cancellation 30 Days or More Before Departure: 60% of the total package cost will be deducted.
  • Cancellation 15 Days or More Before Departure: 100% of the total package cost will be deducted.
  • No Refund Following Booking Confirmation: Once the booking is confirmed, no refunds will be provided.
  • Additional Charges: A 5% file processing fee will be deducted from your package cost at the time of cancellation.
